Section of fast-growing trees

The activities of the section deals with research related to inventory, reproduction and use of gene resources of endangered native deciduous tree species. Research is concentrated also on breeding of economically important poplar clones. Clones of fast-growing trees are maintained in clonal archives, especially species of genus Populus and Salix.
