- breeding and testing of poplars (actually Populus tremula) and willows (Salix alba)
- provenance research of woody species Acer pseudoplatanus, Juglans nigra, Quercus robur, Quercus petraea
- inventory and gene conservation of Alnus glutinosa, Populus nigra, Populus alba, Populus × canescens
- evaluation of site conditions for in situ reproduction of Populus nigra according to EUFORGEN program
